Railway Fabric • c1950s

This lovely fabric has a design made from railway travellers shown against the windows of various carriages. Mostly that seem to be having a lovely time.

These would have made lovely curtains suggestive, in a bedroom setting, of dreams and travel.

I’ve posted before about railways and dreams, here

By a happy co-incidence, the BBCiplayer is showing The Third Man (1949) by Carol Reed. This film is more-or-less always available online. It has a couple of brief scenes at the railway station! It’s a perfect film, and well worth watching.
