Here’s Hollywood actress, Ava Gardner, on the railway platform. Her coat is terrific.

I found this lovely little book about trains…co-incidentally from the year I was born…I especially liked the quality of the colour-photographic reproduction. Also, there are some lovely technical illustrations by William Fenton. Brilliant.
